Our Mission

Lusco Foundation is an Australian not-for-profit organisation with a dual-stream mission: to transform the support experience for women living with domestic violence right now, and to reshape the attitudes of young men before violence becomes part of their story.

We are a NSW-based Company Limited by Guarantee, with registration in progress with the Australian Charities and Not-for-profits Commission (ACNC) and the ATO to be endorsed as a Deductible Gift Recipient (DGR).

Our Board

Lujza - Founder, Executive Director - Lusco

A. Lujza Moutinho

Lujza is the Founder and Executive Director of Lusco Foundation - and the person who refused to accept that the support women need in their hardest moments should be hard to find.

With 15 years across technology startups and the enterprise, she has built and scaled operations at various startups, led AI-driven product rollouts into global enterprise customers, and grown business units from zero to multi-million-dollar revenue. She holds a Master of Professional Accounting, an MBA, and is currently completing a Graduate Certificate in Domestic Violence Responses.

Away from the Foundation, Lujza is a professional soul singer-songwriter whose song Don't - an anthem of solidarity for women - is Lusco's official theme, with funds from every download directed to the charity’s projects.

Max Bolkovsky - Board Member - Lusco

Max Bolkovsky

Max is a technology entrepreneur and growth strategist with three decades of experience spanning enterprise technology, high growth startups and global scale ups.

He spent the first decade of his career learning the fundamentals of sales from the ground up, before moving into a senior enterprise business development role at Data#3. He then joined Apple's enterprise team helping Australia's largest organisations adopt native technologies to improve efficiency for employers and employees, while contributing to strategic partnerships that spanned locally and globally.

At Splunk, during a period of rapid global growth for the company, he spent six years in enterprise sales helping expand relationships with some of Australia's largest organisations. He then became Chief Revenue Officer and later Chief Executive Officer of TRU Recognition, a venture backed AI computer vision company, balancing accountability to investors with genuine value for customers.

He currently serves as Strategic Advisor for Revenue and GTM at Glasswing.

What Max brings to Lusco Foundation is the full arc of that experience: how technology products are built, how enterprise markets are opened, and what it actually takes to scale an early stage organisation without losing sight of why it exists.

Max joined the founding board because he believes technology, applied with care and intention, can make real support and information genuinely accessible to the people who need it, while also helping educate the next generation.

Karen Nicholson - Board Member - Lusco

Karen Nicholson

Karen is a senior partnerships and alliances leader with over 20 years of experience in the technology industry, and a career defined by one consistent strength: building relationships that create genuine, lasting value on both sides of the table.

With a decade specialising in partner sales, channel management and strategic alliance development across global markets, she has driven partner recruitment and demand generation at OutSystems across ANZ, and contributed to Google's Android Global Channel Program — one of the most ambitious channel initiatives in the industry.

What Karen brings to Lusco Foundation is both strategic and deeply human: she understands how to identify the right partners, build the relationships that sustain them, and create collaboration that moves beyond goodwill into genuine shared outcomes. For a Foundation whose growth depends on meaningful partnerships with government, corporates, technology providers and community organisations, her expertise sits at the heart of what Lusco needs to scale.

With a career built on bridging gaps—first as a nurse providing direct care, and now as a partner alliance manager scaling impactful relationships—Karen joined the founding board to champion strategic collaboration. She believes the right partnerships aren't just funding mechanisms; they are the vital pipelines that deliver Lusco’s mission directly to the women who need it most.

Lujza - Artist, Founder & Executive Director - Lusco Foundation

Meet the Founder

Lujza founded Lusco Foundation in 2026 because she knows firsthand what it feels like to need support and not know where to find it. 15 years of building technology that solves hard problems gave her the tools to do something about it.

Her career in technology has taken her from Financial Controller to COO, across startups, scale-ups and global enterprise. Leading AI-driven product rollouts at TRU Recognition, growing Cyber Analytics across state and federal government at Deloitte, and building business units from scratch at Solista and Avocado Consulting. Multi-million-dollar revenue targets, international scale strategy, capital raise, P&L ownership - and throughout it all, a habit of mentoring the women around her because she believed the industry needed more of them at the table.

She holds a Master of Professional Accounting from UNSW, an MBA from the Australian Institute of Business, and is currently completing a Graduate Certificate in Domestic Violence Responses at QUT. She learned how systems work and how to change them when they don't.

Lujza is also a professional soul singer-songwriter with two albums, multiple EPs, international radio play across five countries and performances at Sydney Fringe, Newcastle Fringe, BloozaPalooza and Foundry616 among others. Her song Don't is Lusco Foundation's official theme song, with every download directed to the charity. She has always believed that creativity and purpose belong in the same room.

Her dual Hungarian and Angolan heritage lives in the Foundation's name: lusco-fusco — the Angolan Portuguese word for the threshold between dark and light. That threshold, and what becomes possible when someone reaches it with the right support, is where Lusco works.
